Good news that Michael Ball has been appointed as Steve Wright's replacement on Sunday Love Songs. He's a classic Radio 2 presenter that I feel aliegns with the typical mature, no not grumpy, listener of this radio channel.
Bad news, for my listening preference, is that Michael Ball's spot at 11am has been allocated to Paddy Mcguinness.
Presenters, for me, need to talk to me, be humorous, even clever, not make inane comments or need to support themselves with equally vacuous studio guests.
Just like I turn over from Radio 2 at 9:30am each weekday, I'll now be doing the same at 11am on Sunday mornings.
Twithay?
